Who Sang these Golden Oldies?

Although your definition of a "golden oldie" might differ depending on the decade you were born in, pretty much anyone will agree the classics in this quiz fit the bill. Each question lets you wander down an auditory memory lane without having to dig out any coins for the jukebox.

Poodle skirts, pompadours, paisley, and peace sign T-shirts are optional, but singing out loud and incorporating dance moves as you think of the answers is highly recommended.

Don’t let her focus on food-related quizzes fool you, Peg is a pro in many arenas. Even though she spends most of her free time whipping up delicious cookies and concocting new recipes for easy but impressive gluten-free cakes, Peg’s brain holds a vast collection of knowledge about everything from baby animals to what you need to know to graduate from different school grades. While she’s the first to admit everything she reads doesn’t necessarily stick in her head, Peg keeps her mind fresh by reading the Financial Post and Globe and Mail on the regular, and coming up with fantastic ideas for new quizzes. Did you know?

The Beach Boys' father and uncle was their manager with a tight leash.

Anyone who was alive at the time knew that the Beach Boys were made up of three brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, along with their cousin, Mike Love, and friend, Al Jardine. But what most people don't know is that the Wilson boys' father, Murry Wilson, was their first manager.

Ask any of the boys, and you'll find out that he was a domineering and manipulative man who spoke on their behalf. He even had strict rules that required that the band not fraternize with women, use profanity, or drink alcoholic beverages. If they broke these rules, they were charged money. The fee was $50 for swearing and $100 for fraternizing with women. After they had gone on tour, he changed the fee to a flat $1,000 that would be held back from the proceeds they made.
