Don’t let her focus on food-related quizzes fool you, Peg is a pro in many arenas. Even though she spends most of her free time whipping up delicious cookies and concocting new recipes for easy but impressive gluten-free cakes, Peg’s brain holds a vast collection of knowledge about everything from baby animals to what you need to know to graduate from different school grades. While she’s the first to admit everything she reads doesn’t necessarily stick in her head, Peg keeps her mind fresh by reading the Financial Post and Globe and Mail on the regular, and coming up with fantastic ideas for new quizzes. She’s a secret fan of gossip, too, so watch out for her intense celeb topics!

Did you know?

Accidental Theme

The theme song to "The X-Files" is one of the most iconic parts of the show and helped set its creepy tone. But did you know it was composed by accident? Veteran composer, Mark Snow, had the idea to include whistling after writer Chris Carter told him he wanted something for the theme that sounded like what "boy scouts in the middle of the night on a camping trip whistle to each other… and then a monster comes and gobbles them up." Composer Mark Snow took his whistling inspiration from the song "How Soon Is Now" by the Smiths from their 1985 album "Meat is Murder." But when it came to composing the rest of the theme for the sci-fi show, he was totally uninspired. In his frustration, he put his arm down on his keyboard which accidentally turned on the delay effect. This caused everything he played to have that chilling echo sound which was eerily perfect when paired with the whistling. The show's theme song became a hit. Literally. In 1996 a club remix by Triple X took the top of the charts reaching number 2 in the U.K., France, and Australia. It is a tune that is as catchy as an alien virus in your brain.
