Modern Witches celebrate eight holidays per year

Like many cultures, those who practice witchcraft celebrate annual holidays. The eight holidays practiced by witches are Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, Mabon, and Samhain. These holidays are all represented on The Wheel of the Year. However, there are some smaller, less significant holidays that are also celebrated throughout the year. Yule is celebrated between December 20th and 23rd and represents the beginning of the new year. During this holiday, witches cast spells related to happiness and love. Imbolc is the holiday that celebrates the promise of spring and is celebrated on February 2nd. Ostara celebrates the official arrival of spring, and Beltane represents the halfway point between spring and summer. Litha, otherwise known as the summer solstice, marks the longest day of the year and is a time for witches to reaffirm their practice. Lammas is the first of the autumnal harvest festivals, followed by Mabon, and then Samhain. Samhain, which is also called All Hallows Eve, is the most recognized holiday by non-witches. This holiday is a celebration of the past and occurs on October 31st.

How to Play?

Our personality quizzes are set up a little differently than your basic trivia quiz, but you’ve probably seen their kind around. Rather than having to choose the right answer from a list of multiple choice options, in this case, there is no “right answer”! (Two plus two will always be four, but every Golden Girls character is equally awesome.)

So, stop stressing. Just click on the answer that suits you best, and enjoy the ride. These quizzes are just for fun but who knows – you might just learn something about yourself along the way!
