Do you know how troll dolls came to be?
Troll dolls date back to 1959 when Danish woodcutter Thomas Dam made a handmade doll for his daughter out of scraps of wood and wool. The doll's unique appearance caught the attention of others, and soon Dam began making more and selling them in local toy stores.
The dolls were an immediate success, and in 1960 Dam founded the company Dam Things, which produced the Troll dolls on a larger scale. The dolls quickly gained popularity in Denmark and soon spread to other parts of Europe and the United States.
In the 1990s, Troll dolls experienced a resurgence in popularity, with a new generation of children discovering their charm and collectability. This led to the creation of a wide variety of Troll dolls, each with its own distinctive look and style.
