Can you follow a complex storyline and track the transformations? Do you know your cars and your episodes of Scooby Doo? In a hierarchy of characters from the TV series "Supernatural," which one would you be, based on your knowledge of the show? That's a trick question, since power and knowledge can be used for good or evil. If you know everything, it might not mean that you're on the side of Good; you could be a very powerful demon. Likewise, if your knowledge is spotty, it's possible you're not evil, just a lousy Hunter. Test your recall with our Supernatural quiz and find your place in the vast and often confusing pantheon this beloved universe.

Let us introduce you to the Listicle Liege, the Article Aficionado, the one and only Nathan. Since creating his first photo collage at the age of five with images clipped from his mom’s Chatelaine magazines (all of them), it’s been nearly impossible to stem this one’s tide of visual learning. Be it the annals of history or the latest celeb gossip, Nathan has probably researched it, likely already has a folder of relevant photos on his desktop, and definitely learned a lot of interesting facts to go with those images. Whereas most well-read adults have bookshelves full of classic literature, Nathan’s stacks are composed of National Geographic and TIME special editions and a curated section of first-grade readers (for inspiration). If you prefer picture books to wordy novels, listicles by Nathan are right up your alley.
Did you know?
Nine 1967 Chevy Impalas share the role of Dean's Baby in Supernatural. Series creator Eric Kripke said he was inspired by his favorite childhood TV show, Knight Rider, to create a leading role for the car. He went so far as to write "Baby," the fourth episode in the eleventh season that gives the car the lead, telling a story from its perspective. Originally, Kripke wrote the car as a 1965 Mustang, but as the role grew, a more Supernatural-style car was needed, one with a darker personality. His neighbor convinced him that the Mustang, a fun "pony car," wasn't the right vehicle for the job. An imposing Chevy Impala, dark, powerful, and somewhat mysterious, was a much better fit. Given the show's nature, room in the trunk for a body was an added plus. Jensen Ackles, who plays lead hunter Dean Winchester on the show, uses his Instagram page to meet fans' insatiable demand for pictures of The Car. Beyond the show's fan base, there are plenty of car culture sites on the internet that cross over into Supernatural territory to discuss Baby in detail. Apparently, Dean and Sam are just sidekicks of the real star!
