Joselyn wasn’t too keen on multiple choice in high school. She vividly remembers the first biology exam she passed by only the skin of her teeth, which dragged her overall average down into the embarrassingly low 90s (she doesn’t want to talk about it). Hawaii isn’t always sunshine and rainbows
While many people tend to think of Hawaii as a state that bathes in perpetual sunlight, that’s not entirely true. Like any tropical locale, Hawaii gets its fair share of rain. In fact, Kaua’i’s Mt. Waialeale is one of the rainiest places in the world. With an incredible elevation of over 5,000 feet, this shield volcano averages over 373 inches of rain a year. However, from 1978 to 2007, Maui’s BIg Bog had it beat with an average rainfall of over 400 inches a year.
