F1 cars have changed a lot since the early days

Drivers are an important part of winning races, of course, but equally important are the engineers who design the cars. Formula 1 cars have changed a lot over the years, thanks in no small part to dedicated and talented engineers. In 1950, F1 cars were small, with small narrow bodies and narrow tires, 1.5 to 4.5-liter engines, and a driver’s seat behind them. They had a top speed of a little less than 200 mph and took more than 4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60. Then engineers started tinkering with rear-mounted engines and wider tires and eventually added wings and made improvements to the engine. Today’s Formula 1 cars can hit almost 250 mph and accelerate from 0 to 60 in just over 2 seconds, even though engines size has only increased about 0.1 liters.

How to Play?

Our personality quizzes are set up a little differently than your basic trivia quiz, but you’ve probably seen their kind around. Rather than having to choose the right answer from a list of multiple choice options, in this case, there is no “right answer”! (Two plus two will always be four, but every Golden Girls character is equally awesome.)

So, stop stressing. Just click on the answer that suits you best, and enjoy the ride. These quizzes are just for fun but who knows – you might just learn something about yourself along the way!
