Whether Jedi, Separatist, Rebel, Imperial officer, or just a good, old-fashioned spice runner, every person in the galaxy worth their beskar has a droid around to keep them sane and on the right track. After all, where would any of our Skywalker heroes be without their faithful metallic companions? For that matter, without the battle droids, there would be no Clone Wars to fight and revisit again and again. Things are better with a droid no matter the situation: they can be found repairing the ship, piloting a course through an asteroid belt, or just reminding the pilot that the odds are a million-to-one. Be it a protocol droid or an astromech, a nurse droid, or a bounty hunter; there's a mechanical assistant for every wise-cracking and life-threatening situation.
As a child, Haven enjoyed learning everything they could about many subjects, though the best resource was her grandma’s old stack of encyclopedias in those days. Today, Haven still likes to know a bit about everything. When they're not researching information for their posts or flexing that history degree, Haven's going through the quizzes of other authors on the site - because this is where the facts are found! Visitors to our site turn to Haven's fun and factual articles to learn about all kinds of things, from do-it-yourself ideas to the wider world. Those who prefer to get their facts in article format can find Haven all across the web, as well.
George Lucas originally envisioned C-3PO akin to a "used-car salesman," a little more slimy, unrefined, and with an American accent. Despite that, he was convinced to use Anthony Daniels' on-set performance in its entirety during the editing process, turning C-3PO into Luke Skywalker's uptight, butler-like companion. While Star Wars consistently brings characters into the paths of others (C-3PO is purchased by Luke Skywalker, the son of Anakin Skywalker, who originally built C-3PO, and is eventually given to Leia Organa, Luke's sister). However, most of the characters are either absent from some of the films (like Sheev Palpatine) or are portrayed at different ages by different actors (like Obi-Wan Kenobi, who is played by Ewan McGregor and Sir Alec Guinness). Anthony Daniels is the exception. His restrained, specific performances as the galaxy's most loveable protocol droid span all nine films, including The Phantom Menace, though Daniels portrays C-3PO via puppeteering instead of acting from inside his usual gold suit.
