The color we love is not always the one that looks best, but we think it does because our tastes in fashion are stuck in a time-warp. Color selection should be about making artistic choices rather than personal ones. Have you been wearing colors that make you appear drab instead of ones that help you stand out in a crowd? Take this quiz to discover the colors that will help you create a brilliant visual impact now.

Did you know?

Color analysis is based on the four seasons

Psychologist Carol Jackson first connected flattering fashion choices with skin tone in her 1987 book "Color Me Beautiful." Jackson taught women how to select their 30 most flattering shades by matching their complexion to one of the four seasons, which were defined by Bright (Spring), Pale (Summer), Warm (Autumn), or Cold (Winter) hues.

Swatches of colored fabric were held against a person's face to determine which shades made them look drab and which ones made their eyes, skin, and hair pop. According to Jackson's four-season fashion theory: Spring people look best in pale shades with yellow undertones; Summer people suit cool shades with blue undertones; Autumns can wear bold shades with orange undertones, and Winters should wear bright shades with blue undertones. The fashion industry wholeheartedly embraced the CMB principle and still use it today to help clients discover their true colors when it comes to make-up and wardrobe.

How to Play?

Our personality quizzes are set up a little differently than your basic trivia quiz, but you’ve probably seen their kind around. Rather than having to choose the right answer from a list of multiple choice options, in this case, there is no “right answer”! (Two plus two will always be four, but every Golden Girls character is equally awesome.)

So, stop stressing. Just click on the answer that suits you best, and enjoy the ride. These quizzes are just for fun but who knows – you might just learn something about yourself along the way!
