Animal Crossing is a video game created by Nintendo that first launched in 2001. Initially, the game was only available on Nintendo 64, but there are now five main-platform installments of the game, including Nintendo Switch. Players assume one of various human characters and spend their time in a village populated by animals. The game differs from most other popular video games as it is open-ended. In Animal Crossing, there are no set objectives or goals, and players simply carry out tasks and activities how and when they want. If you are an avid Animal Crossing player, you will have met Tom Nook, Mr. Resetti, K.K Slider, Baabara, Camofrog, and Kid Cat, who are some of the game's pivotal characters. Which one do you most personify? Are you business savvy like Tom Nook, or hot-headed like Mr. Resetti? The only way to find out is to take our Animal Crossing quiz!

Charlie took to the written word like a fish takes to water. That is to say; they found themselves immersed in literature from before they were born. They've been known to tell their friends how they can still remember the passages their parents read to them when they were in utero - Emily Dickinson, Jane Austen, and a bit of Hunter S. Thompson thrown in to balance it out. Charlie keeps their feet wet, whether they're whipping up pithy one-liners to tease your brain or busy working on their second novel (the first one is available on Amazon under a pen name they refuse to disclose). You’re sure to get a kick out of giggle-worthy explanations and outrageous hints, and still come away feeling like you’ve just expanded your knowledge base.
Did you know?
Something you might be surprised to learn is that the inspiration for K.K. Slider, Animal Crossing's resident canine musician, comes from the game's musical composer Kazumi Totaka. Obviously, Kazumi Totaka is not a canine, but the game's creator intended for K.K. Slider's looks and musical interests to be based on the talented and prolific Japanese composer. Kazumi even did voice acting work for the game. K.K. Slider's name is also inspired by Kazumi Totaka. In the Japanese version of the game, the character is Totakeke, which is directly derived from Totaka. Kazumi Totaka has composed music for other well-known Nintendo games, including Super Mario, Wii Sports, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Smash Bros.
