So, you’ve read Shakespeare, either because you were forced to in school or you really love iambic pentameter. Chantelle

Chantelle took to the written word like a fish takes to water. That is to say, she found herself immersed in literature from before she was born. She’s been known to tell her friends all about how she can still remember the passages she heard her mother read to her when she was in the womb - Emily Dickinson, Jane Austen, and a bit of Hunter S. Thompson thrown in to balance it out. Whether she’s whipping up pithy one-liners to tease your brain or busy working on her second novel (the first one is available on Amazon under a pen name she refuses to disclose), Chantelle has continued to keep her feet wet with words, as it were. You’re sure to get a kick out of her giggle-worthy explanations and outrageous hints, and still come away feeling like you’ve just expanded your knowledge base.

Did you know?

A Midsummer Night's Dream wasn't always popular

Believe it or not, A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of the only plays that Shakespeare wrote that came almost entirely from his imagination! Since its first performance around 1605, it has been one of Shakespeare's most popular and well-known plays. However, it was not always such a favorite. Its first extant review, written by one Samuel Pepys in 1662, calls it "the most insipid ridiculous play that ever I saw in my life," and in 1667, John Dryden questioned whether the play should be performed, considering it contains such unrealistic elements as fairies and magic. After Shakespeare's time, the play was never performed in full until Madame Vestris, an opera singer, actress, producer, and theatre manager, revived it in 1840 to great success. Since then, A Midsummer Night's Dream has only risen in popularity.
