Rebel Scum had an important task
If you stop and think about it, the Rebel Alliance has a lot of weapons and crafts that help keep the galaxy safe. But where did they come from? Since the Alliance is always on the move, time has not permitted them to become expert engineers or prolific spacecraft and weapons builders. Instead, those called Rebel Scum helped the Alliance stay on top by participating in a war of attrition. By raiding the Empire's stockpile of junkyards, they have been able to supplement their stock of the necessary equipment by looting, salvaging, and repurposing. With some help from the Fulcrum Espionage Program, which helps steal technological codes and tactics, each warship, weapon, and droid has been rebuilt and programmed with technologies that can use the Empire's own knowledge against them. No matter how small, every job in the Rebel Alliance is an important one — even the janitor.
