The McDonald's Happy Meal was introduced in 1979, almost forty years after the restaurant was founded, and became an immediate hit across the globe. The types of happy meal toys that have been distributed by McDonald's over the years include mini Furbies, McDonald's Changeables, Pokeballs, Hot Wheels cars, and tiny Beanie Babies. With such a fun selection of toys, it's easy to see how McDonald's became the largest toy distributor in the world.
