As the long-awaited House of the Dragon starts to roll across screens, you'll fall in love with the characters. Maybe. Hopefully. George R.R. Martin got an early start
Long before the popularity of Game of Thrones, author George R.R. Martin already had a long legacy. Before becoming the president of the American Writer's Guild in the 70s, he spent his youth writing. In fact, as a child, he used to sell his tales for pennies to all the neighborhood children who were willing to listen. House of the Dragon is based on his novel Fire and Ice. Although fans are not sure precisely what to expect yet, they can expect a few things. "House of the Dragon" takes place 300 years before Game of Thrones. Although the show will be packed full of drama and action like its predecessor, the Fire and Ice novel reads like a history book. And you know what that means — a lot of questions you might have lingering will soon be answered. At least, we hope it will be!
