Quiz WriterNathan, Heywise Staff

Let us introduce you to the Listicle Liege, the Article Aficionado, the one and only Nathan. Since creating his first photo collage at the age of five with images clipped from his mom’s Chatelaine magazines (all of them), it’s been nearly impossible to stem this one’s tide of visual learning. Be it the annals of history or the latest celeb gossip, Nathan has probably researched it, likely already has a folder of relevant photos on his desktop, and definitely learned a lot of interesting facts to go with those images. Whereas most well-read adults have bookshelves full of classic literature, Nathan’s stacks are composed of National Geographic and TIME special editions and a curated section of first-grade readers (for inspiration). If you prefer picture books to wordy novels, listicles by Nathan are right up your alley.

Did you know?

The creator of the Pringles can was laid to rest in one?

Pretty much everyone in the entire world loves Pringles! It may be the saltiness, it may be the crunchiness, or it may be the variety of flavors! But, in actuality, it's most likely the can! Who do we have to thank for this invention? His name was Fredric John "Fred" Baur, and he was born in 1918.

He was an organic chemist and food storage, technician. Out of everything amazing and ordinary he did, his most famous feat was inventing the Pringles can. He applied for a patent for the method in 1966 and was granted the patent in 1970. Along with this, he also made quite the headway with frying oils and freeze-dried ice cream. Throughout his life, he received Masters and Ph.D. degrees at The Ohio State University along with serving in the U.S. Navy as an aviation physiologist. After hearing all of this, you can assume he was one smart, wise man.

When he died in 2008, his children said that he wished to be cremated and buried in a Pringles can. They honored his request by doing so. Though half of his ashes were put in an urn to be given to his grandchildren, the other half was buried in a Pringles can.

The innovative method of stacking chips in this way is revolutionary, and it saves space, so you know you're not just buying air like with most potato chips. Plus, the chips are super tasty, and the cans are reusable around the house! It's no wonder the Kellogg company, the owner of Pringles, is worth over $25 billion!
