Everybody knows the 90s sitcom Friends was an insane megahit. Unless you’ve been living under a gargantuan rock, you know the break-out stars: Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc. Maybe you remember the era of the Rachel haircut, or you had at least one wall in your home painted in Monica’s Ultra Violet. Sure, you know when the series aired, when it ended, and you were rooting for Ross and Rachel the whole time (spoiler alert?). But is that enough to pass this ultimate Friends quiz? Do you know exactly how many steps it takes to get from Joey’s apartment to Central Perk? Which Sprouse twin played Ross’ son? Who is Susie Moss, and what did she do for a living? Which character lived in their car? What kind of car was it? Sure, you know all the lyrics to Smelly Cat, but do you have what it takes to go all the way? Pop in those reruns, grab yourself a scone and a cuppa joe, and get ready to test your trivia knowledge. The results will make you say Oh. My. God. Then, grab a friend (or five) and see how they hold up!
Joselyn wasn’t too keen on multiple choice in high school. She vividly remembers the first biology exam she passed by only the skin of her teeth, which dragged her overall average down into the embarrassingly low 90s (she doesn’t want to talk about it). After swearing off any high school or university courses that required multiple choice tests, Joselyn managed to get an English degree by sweet-talking her professors into offering only essay-style exams. Needless to say, this did not exactly endear her to her peers. This rocky start smoothed out in time, though, and after tumbling down a black quiz hole one day while putting off job hunting, Joselyn realized her hatred of all things a-b-or-c had faded and she actually enjoyed dreaming up new ideas for questions and dangerously correct-sounding answers. You won’t find her quizzes an easy ride, but Joselyn just wants to make sure you’re really testing your knowledge.
Central Perk, the now-iconic cafe from Friends, was set in New York City’s Greenwich Village and is within walking distance to Joey and Chandler’s apartment. In 2006, the famous set was recreated as an un-official franchise of Friends-inspired coffee shops by Iranian businessman Mojtaba Asadian, who registered the name in 32 countries. The grand opening of the Dubai cafe was attended by James Michael Tyler, the actor who portrayed Gunther, the crotchety Central Perk waiter. Warner Bros. Studios reconstructed the coffee shop around 2008 as part of a museum exhibit. The spot is the perfect place to get fully immersed in the world of friends and have a seat on the legendary big orange couch. The Central Perk Cafe now resides in its permanent home on Stage 48 where it serves as a fully functioning cafe for crew and tour-goers.
