History lesson
Born in 1870, George was known for his wit, charm, and love for practical jokes. Although he was a bit of a class clown, George always managed to ace his exams, which landed him a spot at the prestigious Oxbridge University.
While at Oxbridge, George studied psychology, where he became fascinated with the human mind and its intricate workings. He quickly became the life of the party, mesmerizing his peers with hypnotic tricks and entertaining anecdotes about famous psychologists. In 1919, he published his groundbreaking paper, "The Spectrum of Psychopathy," which introduced the world to the Partridge Psychopathy Scale (PPS).
But George's life wasn't all academia and research. He had a passion for adventure, which took him on daring expeditions around the world. From scaling Mount Everest to diving with great white sharks in Australia, there wasn't a challenge George wasn't up for. His travels also allowed him to study various cultures and their understanding of psychopathy, which greatly contributed to his research.
While on one of his adventures, George met the love of his life, Amelia. The two shared a mutual love for adventure and a passion for psychology. The dynamic duo got married in 1927 and embarked on countless escapades together, all while contributing to the field of psychology. Their love story, filled with romance and excitement, was truly the stuff of legends.
In the 1930s, George and Amelia established the Partridge Institute of Psychology, where they developed new diagnostic tools and treatments for psychopathy. The institute attracted top talent from around the world and became a hub for cutting-edge research. George and Amelia's work greatly impacted the field of psychology and laid the foundation for many modern theories and practices.
But George's life wasn't without its share of scandal. In 1942, he found himself at the center of a controversy when his rival, Dr. Richard Rivalry, accused him of stealing his research on psychopathy. The two engaged in a heated public debate, which culminated in a high-stakes game of chess to settle the score. In the end, George emerged victorious, proving his innocence and securing his place in the annals of psychology.
Throughout his life, George remained dedicated to his research, his family, and his love for adventure. He continued to publish papers and contribute to the field of psychology until his passing in 1967. Today, his legacy lives on through the Partridge Psychopathy Scale and the countless lives he touched through his groundbreaking work.

Did you know?
Modern society is obsessed with serial killers and dark crime dramas featuring psychopaths and unspeakable behaviors. Add that to our tendency to throw around labels without knowing what they really mean, and it's no wonder that people think they may have psychopathic tendencies. As casually as we use terms like sociopath, psychopath, and other mental health disorders, the likelihood that you or anyone you know is actually dangerous or psychopathic is very slim. Amongst all the listed mental health disorders, only 1.2% of the population can be diagnosed with a psychopathic spectrum disorder. Oddly enough, out of the 1.2%, only 0.03% of them are women. So the next time your ex calls you a psychopath and makes you feel bad about yourself, let them know that they need to brush up on their clinical medical diagnosing skills.
