Superman has kryptonite, and Spiderman has radiation that interacts with venom. Like all good supervillains, even Darth Vader has a weakness too. Although he's not directly and physically affected by sand, it's a very crippling substance to the Dark Lord. When he encounters sand, it reminds him of his childhood and the time when he and his mother were enslaved. Any interaction with it is immediately enough to ruin his day, but that's not his only weakness. Even though his suit runs on an electrical system and his sensors are full of electronic components, ole Darthie Vader is very sensitive. In fact, his suit has been specially created to avoid any electrical conductivity. If he were to walk into a force field, it would be an ordeal that not even the force could fix.
