How Well Do You Know Arrested Development?

Arrested Development was a cult hit when it aired on Fox, but sadly, it could never justify the budget needed for production compared to actual ratings. Naysayers will recall the series started in 2004, back when the DVR was becoming a wildly popular device. The delayed viewing it allowed threw off Neilson's abilities to gauge just how many people were tuning in nightly. Despite the show's critical acclaim, Fox axed the production because that's what Fox does. Were you a fan of Arrested Development? Well, let's find out!

Jake, Heywise Staff

Quiz WriterJake, Heywise Staff

Jake didn’t think he’d become a writer when he was growing up in southern Saskatchewan, Canada, but fate had another idea. After barely squeaking through grade 9 English, by the luck of the draw Jake found himself with the most inspiring literature instructor his small town had ever known, and grade 10 English changed his life! Suddenly, evenings once spent at the hockey rink were spent curled up on the couch with the best of Hemingway, Dickens, and John Grisham. A valedictorian address and English degree at the University of Regina later, Jake is proud to call Heywise his favorite place to pen informative quizzes about all his passion projects. If you’re reading a post and pick up a hint of classic English literature, you’re probably reading something by Jake - especially if you come away feeling like a slightly better person for it.

The stair car lives in the MCU

If you've ever met a fan of Arrested Development, then you know all about the show's cult-like following. It turns out viewers weren't the only gung-ho proponents of the series. The Russo Brothers — yes, the ones who directed a ton of Marvel blockbuster films — were not only fans of the show, they also directed several episodes. They decided to pay tribute to Arrested Development by adding the Bluth stair car to a scene in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. One might ask how the stair car got all the way to Germany, and that's a great question.
