The Bucks name has an interesting story

When you think of Milwaukee, what do you think of? When we think of it, we think of Lavern & Shirley and some of America's finest beer. What you probably don't think of when you imagine Milwaukee is deer, more specifically, male deer. Nonetheless, when the franchise was awarded NBA status in 1968, the team's owners were keen to find the perfect name. Instead of letting a corporate board vote on the name, they decided to let the public decide. When they hosted a contest, there were over 14,000 responses. While you can imagine that they heard every name in the books, one name popped up 45 different times. Since Milwaukee Bucks seemed to be such a popular choice, the name was adopted, and it hasn't changed since. The logo, however, has been changed four different times in the franchise's long and notable existence. Would you have chosen Bucks as your suggestion?
