The photograph was perhaps one of the greatest inventions of all time. It allowed people to capture their subjects in perfect detail. That is something painters like Michelangelo, Raphael, and David had been trying to accomplish for centuries. Photos capture memories and help people to laugh and appreciate significant moments in life.
The evolution of cameras from the first pinhole cameras to the classic disposable camera to the Polaroid to the smartphone is quite impressive. Now computer scientists and engineers are developing better-photographing technology. Baby pictures, which have been artfully pasted into scrapbooks, are now available online and in digital albums. Your photos are now in the cloud. There's virtually no longer a need for a photo book any more. Unless you really love tangible things.
Social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat allow us to share photos with others more quickly than ever before. This helps make everyone a photographer at some level. Even if you are an iPhone photographer, how much do you know about the technicalities and history of photography? Take this quiz to find out just how much you know about this beautiful art form!

Charlie took to the written word like a fish takes to water. That is to say; they found themselves immersed in literature from before they were born. They've been known to tell their friends how they can still remember the passages their parents read to them when they were in utero - Emily Dickinson, Jane Austen, and a bit of Hunter S. Thompson thrown in to balance it out. Charlie keeps their feet wet, whether they're whipping up pithy one-liners to tease your brain or busy working on their second novel (the first one is available on Amazon under a pen name they refuse to disclose). You’re sure to get a kick out of giggle-worthy explanations and outrageous hints, and still come away feeling like you’ve just expanded your knowledge base.

He was a famous photographer who captured some of the most famous images of American national parks. Some of his most famous shots are of Yosemite National Park. Even though most of these pictures were taken in the 1940s, they still appear on calendars today. He and Fred Archer developed the Zone System, which helped them to determine the proper exposure of the final print of a photo. This system allowed Adams's photos to display an astonishing amount of clarity and depth, which are landmarks of his photos. His work earned him honorary degrees from both Yale and Harvard. He lived from 1902 until 1984.
