Quiz Writer
Charlie took to the written word like a fish takes to water. That is to say; they found themselves immersed in literature from before they were born. They've been known to tell their friends how they can still remember the passages their parents read to them when they were in utero - Emily Dickinson, Jane Austen, and a bit of Hunter S. Thompson thrown in to balance it out. Charlie keeps their feet wet, whether they're whipping up pithy one-liners to tease your brain or busy working on their second novel (the first one is available on Amazon under a pen name they refuse to disclose). You’re sure to get a kick out of giggle-worthy explanations and outrageous hints, and still come away feeling like you’ve just expanded your knowledge base.
Did you know?
A decade represents ten whole years. Did you know the 2000s is called the aughts? Maybe this term never really gained traction in your vocabulary. However, past decades sure do have catchy nicknames. For example, the 1890s was referred to as the Naughty Nineties because of the sinful abandon that swept the decade. The 1900s and 1910s are left to be desired, but everyone has heard of the Roaring Twenties, right? It was a time when women cut their hair short and wore dresses that were even shorter. They smoked cigarettes and stayed out all night long.
The 1920s was followed by the Turbulent Thirties, or Hungry Thirties, which was the Depression era. The Fightin’ Forties (or Flying) were appropriately named as people strived to survive. The Fabulous Fifties or Nifty Fifties was a decade of prosperity. The 1960s are often referred to as Swingin’, but others coined it the Psychedelic Sixties because of the drug use and hippie phase. The Disco Era was in the 1970s.
Since the nicknames tend to stick only after the decade is over, and people look back on how the effect of the time period. What would you call the 1990s, 2000s, or 2010s?
