Why People Choose to Live Where They Live
If we can take the findings of a study conducted by the Centre for Cities as an indication of people's choices, most people choose where they live based on housing costs, the proximity of family and friends and how close they are to work. The 25-34 and 55+ age groups also heavily make this choice based on the closeness of public transportation. Although you might think the senior group is more concerned with cost or cultural and leisure activities available, they tend to focus more on the size and type of housing that is available around them. This seems to indicate that they have a greater concern about who is living near them than they do about how many eatery choices they have for dinner. Not one of these survey participants said anything about choosing a place based on personality so we're going to do that for you.
