Completing crosswords on Heywise is simple! To begin solving a crossword, click on a box you want to solve. This will then highlight the row or column surrounding that box. To swap between vertical or horizontal, just click the same box again. A clue will appear above the crossword, and the same clue on the side will become highlighted once you've selected a box. Type in your answer. If you're correct, both clues will turn green. To change any incorrect answers, you can either hit backspace to erase each letter, one at a time, or click at the beginning of the word and simply retype it.
